Easter Creations

It's Easter weekend!

And for the occasion we wanted to offer you some creative ideas to do with your little hearts! Don't be surprised to realize that you take as much pleasure as your children in discovering these activities...

Making paper Easter eggs

This is a great activity to develop your children's fine motor skills as the children have to separate the tissue (or crepe) papers, crumple them and press them again onto the glue drops.

To carry out this activity, you need:

  • An egg model of your choice that will serve as your support
  • Tissue paper or crepe paper
  • Scissors for children
  • Glue

Let’s get started:

  • Cut long strips of paper (tissue or crepe)
  • Ask your little ones to cut out squares from the strips you have just prepared for them.
  • Place drops of glue on the egg-shaped support
  • Crumple the paper squares and then press them onto the glue drops.

Easter Egg Customization

Here is an activity that will awaken the artistic soul in your little hearts... Let your imagination run wild!

For this activity you need:

  • A bowl
  • An egg
  • Painting with a palette
  • A wooden pike
  • A brush
  • A needle
  • A glass of water
  • An empty glass

Let’s get started:

  • Place the egg in the bowl and hold it firmly with one hand. With the other hand, poke a small hole with the needle. Press gently until the needle pierces the egg. Turn with the needle to enlarge the hole. Turn the egg over and do the same on the other side.
  • Once the egg is pierced at the top and bottom, take it and stand over the bowl to blow very hard on one of the holes so that the egg comes out at the bottom. Blow until the egg is completely out (keep it for an omelette or a cake). When the egg is empty, wash it carefully. Place it on the wooden skewer and wedge it in the glass to paint and decorate it. Let it dry well and it's ready!

Tip + : to ensure the paint holds well and the egg is shiny, varnish it.

It's your turn: use whatever you like to customize your eggs as you wish!

Chicks in egg cartons

Recycle your egg cartons by making Easter chicks

This activity develops creativity , works on dexterity , develops the notion of inside/outside

What you need:

  • An egg box
  • Painting
  • A brush
  • Scissors
  • A felt pen to draw the eyes (if you don't have eye-shaped stickers)
  • Paper (to make the beak)
  • Glue (to glue the beak)
  • Scotch tape (optional)

Let's make way for the realization

  • Cut out 2 compartments from the egg carton (to obtain 2 cups).
  • Have the child paint the inside and outside of these bowls.
  • While the child is painting, cut out two small pieces of paper which will serve as beaks and will be glued to the cups once dry.
  • Ask the child to draw the chick's eyes on one of the cups.
  • Place the cup with the eyes on top of the other cup (if you want to use it as a box hiding Easter eggs, you can tape the two cups together on one side).
  • Bonus : For the youngest, painting can be done independently, for the older ones, cutting and sticking can be done independently (even if the result does not correspond in all respects to what we imagined as adults).
